3/4th cup skinless dried black beans (urad)
  • 4 cups Flour (atta)
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 green chili chopped
  • 1/2tsp asafoetida powder
  • 1tbsp anise seeds
  • 2tsp coriander seeds
  • 1tsp white cumin seeds
  • 1tsp red chili powder
  • Oil
  • Preparation:

    Soak the beans in water overnight
  • add enough water to the flour make soft dough. Cover the dough with damp cloth and leave for 30 minutes.
  • to make stuffing Grind beans with the chili powder, salt and spices .
  • Mix well and divide it into 20 .
  • Divide the dough into 20equal portions,
  • Flatten and roll out into 2inch round.
  • stuf one portion in each round and roll into a smooth flatten ballof about 3inch round.
  • Heat oil for deep frying
  • put the kachori and cook both the side until golden brown.
  • Serve the dal kachori hot with chutneyor tomato sauce.
